ICC - President of the Assembly visit to The Hague

The President of the Assembly of States Parties (“the Assembly”), Ambassador Tiina Intelmann, visited The Hague from 29 January to 1 February 2012. During this first visit to The Hague as the President of the Assembly, Ms. Intelmann held meetings with senior officials of the Court and members of the diplomatic community in order to have an informal exchange of views on, inter alia, the cooperation of States Parties with the Court, how to expedite the proceedings, including via possible amendments to the Rules of Procedure and Evidence, the budget forecast for 2013, and developing a strategic approach to the preparation of the annual budget.


In addition, the President convened a Bureau meeting to discuss, inter alia, the appointment of facilitators for the Working Groups of the Bureau and matters related to the organization of the eleventh session of the Assembly.

 
Furthermore, together with the Vice-President of the Assembly, H.E. Mr. Markus Börlin, President Intelmann visited the ICC Detention Center.
