Four-day training workshop for senior judges from East African countries on counter-terrorism, transnational crimes and international criminal justice. In addition to covering counter-terrorism and transnational crimes, the training workshop dealt with specific issues related to the adjudication of the core international crimes (such as the history and development of international criminal law, the work of the international tribunals and specialised courts as well as the International Criminal Court) and the role of the judiciary in the protection of witnesses.
Presenters included experts on international criminal justice.
