This project concerned the potential application of Uganda's implementing legislation - the International Criminal Court Act 2010 - to crimes committed in Uganda prior to 25 June 2010, its date of entry into force.

PJI was asked to provide advice on the matter by the judges of the War Crimes Division of the High Court of Uganda and submitted a position paper addressing the issue. This project was a very successful collaborative effort by PJI, illustrating the ability of our network to assist on technical issues of immediate concern for national accountability mechanisms.
