Aim of the undertaking was the more coherent and efficient application of criminal procedure law by major institutions of the criminal justice system in Bolivia - especially judicature, public prosecution service, publicly appointed counsels for defense, police and attorneys in the context of its underlying principles, rights and guarantees.
The central methodical approach was the counselling of actors in the criminal law system, as well as senior and specialized staff of the Vice Ministry for Justice and Human Rights, in the professional and appropriate application of the criminal procedure law and the aforementioned additional counselling topics. The components of support included counselling through local and foreign long-term professionals as well as subject-specific consulting services through local and foreign short-term professionals and small-volume material aid.
