Through the German Civil Peace Service Consortium, a group of GO's and NGO's, supported by the German Government, the project strengthens institutional and operational capacities in the areas of forensics, inquiry techniques and archiving in Guatemala. Thereby achieving higher effectiveness in these processes. To achieve this, several key activities were defined. For once, support was given in the formulation and execution of a bachelors degree in "Majoring in Human-Rights and Archival Studies". Further, counselling services in special investigations in cases of serious human-rights violations were provided. Additionally, the work of a social-historic researcher is funded for the reappraisal of human-rights violations and fact-finding.
