The Peace and Justice Initiative provided technical legal advice on ICC cooperation and related matters to the committee convened by the Bolivian Ministry of Justice in charge of the drafting of the new Bolivian Code of Criminal Procedure. PJI presented an overview of the challenges that an ICC cooperation regime poses for Bolivia as well as relevant issues for the drafting committee to consider in formulating the new Code so as to fully implement the Rome Statute. Matters relating to complementarity, surrender and administration of justice offences were discussed. The technical advice was further elaborated into two papers, concerning all aspects of implementation.
