I. Members

The composition of the Bureau Working Group on the Advisory Committee on Nominations, established on 29 June 2015, was as follows: 

  - African States: Senegal 
  - Asia-Pacific States: Republic of Korea  
  - Eastern European States: Hungary 
  - Group of Latin American and Caribbean States: Chile
  - Western European and other States: United Kingdom of Great 
    Britain and Northern Ireland     

Results
At the 1st plenary meeting of its fourteenth session, on 18 November 2015, the Assembly, on the recommendation of the Bureau, appointed the following nine members of the Advisory Committee on the nominations on judges for a three-year term commencing on 18 November 2015:

1) Mr. Thomas Barankitse (Burundi)
2) Mr. Bruno Cotte (France)
3) Mr. Hiroshi Fukuda (Japan)
4) Mr. Adrian Fulford (United Kingdom)
5) Mr. Philippe Kirsch (Canada)
6) Mr. Daniel David Ntanda Nsereko (Uganda)
7) Mr. Ernest Petrič (Slovenia)
8) Ms. Mónica Pinto (Argentina)
9) Mr. Manuel Ventura Robles (Costa Rica).
 

II. Mandate

 

The terms of the members would run from 18 November 2015 to 17 November 2018.

The Committee members would normally be designated for three-year terms, with the possibility of being re-elected only once.

Terms of reference for the establishment of an Advisory Committee on nominations of judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC-ASP/10/36 - annex),  adopted by the Assembly by resolution ICC-ASP/10/Res.5, and amended by resolution ICC-ASP/13/Res.5, annex III.
